MarkHowth West PierHowth West Pier is the more harbour-facing Howth option, still very accessible but with a different feel from the open east arm. Parking: Village and harbour car parks near the piers. Balscadden car park for the rock mark. Arrive early on summer evenings.
DART / transport: DART to Howth station, then a short walk to the harbour or Balscadden.
By road: R105 into Howth village; follow harbour signs for pier access.

Access note: Working harbour: keep clear of commercial berths. West pier head is a published angling-only zone, respect boat traffic. Rock marks get slippery in wet weather and cut off on a rising tide. Seals steal bait and hooked fish.
