Using this site

By using Irish Shore Fishing (irishshorefishing.ie), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

Guidance, not professional advice

Content on this site — including mark guides, tide and weather summaries, species notes, and session plans — is general shore fishing guidance for Ireland. It is not legal, safety, medical, or financial advice. Fishing regulations, access rights, and coast conditions change. You are responsible for your own decisions on the shore.

Verify regulations yourself

Bag limits, minimum sizes, closed seasons, and licence requirements are published by Inland Fisheries Ireland and EU instruments. We maintain typed regulation data with sources and review dates, but you must verify current rules on fisheriesireland.ie and official statute sources before retaining fish or fishing restricted species.

Weather, tide, and coast hazards

  • Tide and weather data come from third-party services (Marine Institute, Open-Meteo) and may be delayed or unavailable.
  • Rock marks, harbour walls, and open beaches carry real risks: swell, cut-off, slippery ground, and traffic.
  • Railway crossings, estuary mud, and harbour operations require local judgment — our access notes are not exhaustive.
  • Never fish a mark you cannot exit safely. Met Éireann warnings override any “good day” score on this site.

Accuracy and availability

We work to keep marks, scores, and regulation figures accurate and clearly labelled where data is provisional or research-tier. The site is provided “as is” without warranties of completeness, uptime, or fitness for a particular trip. Live scoring and tide loads can fail when upstream services are unavailable.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Irish Shore Fishing and its operator are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content, including missed catches, unsafe sessions, regulatory penalties, or property damage. Your use of the coastline is at your own risk.
