Mark details
Approach from the Clontarf / Dollymount end and walk out the wall. Allow time for the return in wind or spray. Bus along the Clontarf road; expect a walk onto the wall.
Dublin Port reference. Wall fishing often improves into the flood and around high; turn back early if wind or spray builds.
Exposed stone with little shelter. Shipping channel rules apply. Spray and trip hazards on wet blocks. Not a beginner family pier in rough weather.
Flood to high on coloured water for flounder and dab on short ledger casts. Autumn and winter for pollack, whiting and codling near the bridge and lighthouse end. Bass and mullet are opportunistic.
