Canonical mark URLs now match county/town paths sitewide; legacy /fishing-spots/{mark} links retired from internal navigation. Directory scores align with the 24-hour score band (same ladder as Plan and homepage). Session timeline tide copy derives from live series state, not nearest past extreme. Town tide pages linked from footer and tide hub; Wicklow_MODELLED enum scrubbed from user prose. Open dataset includes Wexford research marks with verification tier.

County URL migration + tide times hub
Wicklow and Dublin marks moved to /wicklow/{town}/{mark} and /dublin/{town}/{mark} with permanent redirects from legacy paths. Twenty-three town tide-time pages shipped at /tides/{place}. Open data at /data (CC-BY-4.0). Premium waitlist opened with monthly and annual tiers.

Plan/tide caption and Greystones guide lock to the 18-minute Wicklow↔Port SoT. Tide curve no longer invents a best window without FishingDecision. Catch notes copy names mark pages. About, Tide & Weather, Insider and the spots directory no longer call Dublin “live scores”, copy matches provisional research ranking. Draft rig drawings say specs are held back. Empty Insider “Field notes” chrome removed. Sitewide content-reviewed stamp moved to 15 Aug 2026.

Tide clock purity + catch notes on marks
Wicklow↔Port copy now matches the 18-minute SoT across Learn and articles. Howth planning uses the same Port clock as Bay scores. Tide & Weather “when to fish” follows FishingDecision. About EEAT no longer claims every mark is first-hand. Catch notes can be logged on Wicklow and Dublin mark pages, not only Field Mode.

Dublin Field Mode Port/Bay instruments
Dublin Field Mode now shows Port-shifted tide and Dublin Bay wind/swell (not Wicklow Greystones instruments). Dead DayVerdict stack removed. Mark pages use one ladder honesty line, honest photo-pending heroes when no mark shoot exists, town hubs wire real related articles, and the spots directory surfaces Dublin Bay while browsing.

Dublin Field Mode and EEAT honesty
Dublin marks get Field Mode shells (noindex) with researched pack and hazards, Save + Field CTAs from mark pages and Dublin today, and Howth/Dún Laoghaire closing copy that no longer says provisional until walked for field-verified piers. Bay ranking stays provisional until live-ranked, never invented. Wicklow plan now mounts the Dublin research group separately; local catch notes surface on plan when present.

Plan shows a copper Watch Out caution band when conditions warrant it. Session email capture keeps a dedicated email field, with optional Sunday Wicklow plan signup on the same form.

Canonical species profiles live at /species/[slug]. Legacy /species-guide/[slug] paths permanently redirect there. Pollack and mullet aliases redirect to pollack and grey-mullet.

Mark guides include a Pack next strip with the recommended (or fallback) rig how-to and session gear setup links, so the Home → Plan → Mark → Pack spine stays visible on every mark.

CEO lock: Dublin stays guide-only under /dublin (no live scoring until a Bay-aware scorer and protocol gates). Spots, gear, partner, insider hub chrome, conditions fallback wording, and verified rig local notes now name Dublin + Wicklow. Mark allowlist and Greystones weather coords unchanged.

Dublin Bay guide expansion
Dublin coast hub expanded from four marks to eleven guide marks (Howth to Killiney, plus Skerries) with ground type, Dublin Port tide notes, and safety copy. New town hubs for Sutton, Dollymount, Poolbeg, Sandymount, Dalkey and Killiney. Product framing on About, Learn, Editorial and Home now names Dublin + Wicklow. Live plan scoring stays Wicklow-only until scoring gates are met.

Primary nav hubs, Learn, Start here, Editorial, and Changelog rebuilt onto the Depth floor (dark instrument, mint signals, foam CTAs). Sitewide lime and neon accents removed. Editorial and changelog file locks lifted so trust pages stay on the live design system. Superseded on 2026-08-09 by Atlantic Mineral.

Regulation accuracy pass
Bass rules re-verified against primary sources: bag limit and closed season cited to Bye-Law No. 826 of 2007, the 42 cm minimum size to EU law (Regulation 2026/249, with the SFPA MCRS list). Corrections: mackerel minimum size (20 cm, previously shown as none) and pollack minimum size (30 cm statutory, previously described as voluntary). Regulation data now renders from a single verified source and every rules page cites its instruments.

Affiliate links moved to Amazon.ie to match where Irish readers actually shop; disclosures updated to name the store. Thursday weekend-alert signup added to the most-read articles. Autumn species guides (whiting, tope, flounder) refreshed with Wicklow-first openers and a new September to October "what's biting" guide published.

Accessibility fixes
Fair verdict text now meets contrast standards on light backgrounds, with verdict colours routed through one shared system. Coast maps restructured so links inside them work with screen readers. Gear bag lifted clear of the mobile navigation.

Shoreline v3 and speed (backfill)
New light visual direction (Shoreline v3) testing against the existing design. Edge caching added so pages load faster; conditions data still refreshes on its usual schedule.

Article markup and CSS cleanup
All 40 blog articles migrated to light-native hex classes (no dark text-ink or bg-off tokens). Shared ArticleGearCard for gear blocks. globals.css trimmed: removed unused content-deck, wave dividers, scroll-reveal, and article hover-lift overrides.

Dead code removed after light migration
Removed unused dark-era layout deck, blog index cards, species list card, conditions verdict component, scroll-reveal hook, and one-off migration scripts. Blog index and species directory now use light components only. /learn replaces /guides; start-here tools live on the main start-here page.

Light system completion and site-wide polish
Editorial and changelog migrated to the light hub template. Orphan dark homepage components removed. Seasonal panel restored on the homepage. Dead routes (/guides, /start-here/new, /start-here/tools) removed in favour of redirects. Mobile menu focus trap, homepage metadata, and ESLint Next.js plugin wired.

Summer 2026 content refresh and infrastructure
12 articles updated for 2026 season with fresh titles, meta, and opening copy. 8 broken internal links fixed across article components. Hermes monitoring agent deployed on NUC 2 (WhatsApp alerts, weekly digest). AI fishing verdict updated to include garfish, plaice, and late May mackerel. ESLint restored to full working state. SSL stapling directive removed from Nginx config.

Catch reporting surface removed
Removed the public catch reporting and feed experience to keep the site focused on planning, spots, species and responsible local guidance. Legacy catch-report URLs now redirect to contact for corrections and local notes.

Full UI consistency pass, calmer buttons, flatter cards, clearer focus states, and quieter motion. Badge styling finalised across the site. Silver Strand coordinates confirmed, now Furzeditch East, Co. Wicklow. Interactive map restored with Mapbox token. Catch report feed live, first report approved. Supabase RLS secured. Sitemap cleaned, removed dead /guides/squid-fishing URL. Project moved off OneDrive for faster deploys.
